"Plots and plans and new ideas came flying off him like sparks from a grindstone"

Danny the Champion of the World

Roald Dahl’s Imaginormous Challenge is a global creativity program aimed at sparking the imagination of young minds – inspired by the creativity of the world’s #1 storyteller.

Why not encourage your pupils to get involved? Not only could they win a prize of lifetime but they could also receive prizes for their entire class – including a comprehensive library of Roald Dahl books!

To enter and give them the chance to win one of five incredible prizes, simply submit your pupils' story idea of 100 words or less on their behalf.

There is only one judging criterion: Pure Imagination.

Contestants may submit as many story ideas as they wish — though each entry must be no more than 100 words—between 29 January and May 1, 2018.

To help craft your pupils story ideas and help them win the Golden Ticket prizes, we've partnered with Scholastic to create Wonka approved lesson resources so you have everything you need to create an Imaginormous lesson.

Whether you're after inspiration, a full lesson plan, or some Imaginormous activities to do at school or at home, it’s all here!

Created with Scholastic, the lesson plans give you everything you need to inspire your class's Imaginormous ideas! Take them on a trip through Wonka’s factory, visiting the Invention Room, The Limitless Location room and even the Wonderful Wonka Word Room!

Having completed their factory adventure they’ll be more than ready to enter the challenge and be in with a chance to win one of Wonka’s Golden Tickets!
